John Lewis is selling very trendy trees for minimalist scrooges for £50. Although since Scrooges aren't going to pay £50 for a paper tree there may be a flaw in the JL marketing plan were they to think that one through.
Anyhoots, I saw it, I love it, it fits my mood and I WANT ONE!! This afternoon Ned and I are off on a reconnaissance trip to see if we can find any freebie substitutes lying around Cheesetown.
That'll be step one.
Step two will involve a can of spray snow, and my best Kirstie Allsop impersonation.
Hi Kirstie!
Step three will be training Ned NOT to pee on or chew it.

We've had minimalist branches for a few years now. I haven't tried the white spray though.
I know I am a softie, but I don't like the idea of people getting excited and buying a real tree, then two weeks later it is discarded, unwanted, with no needles. A windfall branch seems much more like taking in a stray!

Hmmm... I quite fancy the John Lewis tree.
I've finally thrown out the one from Woolworths that I've had since 1991.

It wont be a family tree then--if Ned can't have a chew or a little wee
You'll have to get him one of his own

Mrs R - let John Lewis know you expect royalties!
Scarlet B - if you do buy one, let John Lewis know I get a commission!
Clyde - Ned's perfect xmas tree would have Jock Dog in his sparkly tutu as fairy / bait at the top. He's going to have to compromise :)
