Yes, yes, yes, I know, it's been quiet round here lately.
One reason would be that they don't have wi-fi over at St James infirmary - where I was admitted following a wee heart attack.
Well I've been released back into Community Care.
Watch this space. We'll have twelve weeks or so recuperation...

Whit?!!! Jings and Crivvens and help ma Boab!!!!
For goodness sake, this is most unexpected and unwanted news.
Put yer feet up hen and get better quickly!
10 May 2011 at 13:30
I agree with Roger!
10 May 2011 at 14:17
Rog & Roger - Yep.. It is RIDICULOUS. Nobody's meant to get a heart attack AFTER they stop smoking...
10 May 2011 at 17:56
Goodness, what shocking news! I hope you're on the road to recovery. And I hope you don't need any nasty surgery.
10 May 2011 at 18:37
OMG and you just commented on my blog about that! Im so glad youre still kicking...Get better. And dont do that again! We like you : )
10 May 2011 at 19:50

Holy crap, WHAT? Damn woman, I hope it was indeed "wee" and that you're doing ok? Don't go worrying us now. Rest up, feel better and take it easy, ok?
10 May 2011 at 20:10
Whoa! Sorry to hear that. I hope you're feeling better soon. It's amazing the things doctors can do these days. They reach in there, move stuff around, clean stuff out, and you're out golfing (or some other more interesting activity) in a couple of months.
10 May 2011 at 20:43
The hell you say! Heart attacks are for old folks like me, not a young mother ...
Get well, Macy, so that we your friends—and the Cherub—have you around for a loooong time.
10 May 2011 at 22:31
Sheesh! Take it easy now - just a little light keyboard tapping and not a lot more. Wishing you well for a rapid recovery!
10 May 2011 at 22:49
Blimey. All a bit grown up. Take care and take it easy. Please. The world of big numbers needs you.
10 May 2011 at 23:39
The stress has got to you obviously - you get well soon and come back to us all
:)
10 May 2011 at 23:58
What naughty girl said she was off to the kitchen to make scones?
I hope you were just teasing and that you are taking care and concentrating on getting better again.

Nick - Thanks... they've been threatening me with angioplasty for a couple of days now. This has been quite enough to keep me Virtually Immobile...
Sunny - I know! What were the odds ???
Scarlet - I know. There's a lot of bad jokes to be made... I know, because I'm making them...
Ms Veg - Ha! Big enough to warn me off the eating of Black Bun, let me tell you..
Beckeye - Chiz if any doctor managed to get me on a golf course it would be a medical miracle indeedies...!
(Though now you mention it, Mary Tyler Moore looked really good in her wee golfing skirt in Ordinary People)
Charlie - I know! This is ridiculous! It's like some blog randomiser is switching blog elements around. If your next post features a complaint about Lothian Buses it'll be time to call in Scully and Mulder...
Curry Queen - Thanks! The need to blog and otherwise tap on a keyboard was one of the things that propelled me out of St James..
MmE DeF - Too grown up. Sadly I seem to have whizzed directly from overgrown adolescent to oldie without passing go or collecting £200.
Fi - Thanks! Although how I can claim stress without ever setting foot in a earthquake zone beats me..
Pat - Only half joking! I'm still a bit confused over what I am and am not supposed to do.
Actually scratch that, I still can't believe the list of things I'm NOT to do..
11 May 2011 at 07:47
WTF? goodness gracious lady.......keep well.....please.
11 May 2011 at 08:04
What to do and what not to do? Exercise and lots of it, does wonders for the heart.
11 May 2011 at 13:02
Well I guess that is a reasonable excuse, but you only get to use it once.
Hey, glad you are on the road to recovery.
I'm guessing that Ned may have missed a walk or two and will be ready to lead you astray when you are ready.
Hmm, so this is what happens when you give up smoking---might delay my attempt
11 May 2011 at 21:58
What?! Cut it out!!!
All very serious, iddin it? Hope you feel better and continue to feel better, Macy.

Egad!!!
They'll be threatening you with skimmed milk porridge with no salt in it.
Seriously, you take care of yourself.
13 May 2011 at 19:02
I nearly had one myself reading that title!
I have nieces in Edinburgh at the moment if you need anything.
Rest up, get well. We've all missed you and are glad you're still with us.
Really, really glad!
13 May 2011 at 23:05
Hello. This is my first comment here. I saw you before at Scarlet's and maybe other blogs of note.
I had my heart attack last year, a very small one, I recovered fully. Nearly ten years after having stopped smoking like a chimney - ha! I hope you'll recover fully, and I think you will. :)
What I learned from it is to watch out for a special kind of payne - and not to ignore it anymore, dead heroes are pretty useless.
14 May 2011 at 07:01
Libby - WTF was pretty much my line of thinking too...
Nick - My personal trainer, AKA Ned Dog is ready to nag ! Please don't have a heart attackme outdoors on a regular basis...
Clyde - Ha! Yes, next time I'll argue that the dog ate my homework!
Pearl - Don't worry, I'm feeling better every day that I stay OUT of St Jameses.
Barb - Thanks! And please don't have a heart attack! Enough of them going around as it is!
Mr 63mago - Hola! Any friend of Scarls is a friend etc - though obviously not left sitting too close to the drinks cabinet....
Agreed, the stoic no complaining policy has to stop; especially as far as those weird chest and back pains go.
14 May 2011 at 16:05
Eh? Do you insinuate that lovely Miss Scarlet ... ?
15 May 2011 at 12:27
Be in no doubte at all darlin' you don't smoke EVER again.
