You see getting online again is like the first day back at school! Just catching up with all the old faces you haven't seen for ages!
I'm doing the rounds, and catching up on the gossip - and then it's .. well it's bad news. The best science teacher ever isn't coming back.
Kaz is gone.
And I'm really upset about this.
Kaz was one of the first blogs I ever read - way back, way way back in 2005, before I even had a gmail account, never mind a blogger account, I used to check her blog daily.
Because she was funny
And she had attitude
She was brilliant.
She was a superstar.
And she died last month. Her blog was updated yesterday with the news. And all day long I've been thinking of her. Because that's what really great bloggers can do. They entertain, and inform, and eventually, they touch you.
And no. There's no punchline when a friend dies.
Unless of course her spam friend chooses to comment here. We might run to black irony today....

That is sad.
Your blog friends almost become family and you do meet some nice people

Clyde - Absolutely. And the comments on Kaz's blog bear out how missed she is.

How wonderful that someone is touching so many lives and leaving good feelings after she has gone....I had never heard of her but now everybody seems to be affected by her demise...she must have been special.

Libby - She was. There's a link to her blog on my sidebar. Hardly a mention of cancer on it until the last couple of entries.

I've been thinking about her too, Macy.
Hugs.

I just read this on Kevin's blog. I only came to know of her comparatively recently but I know she will be much missed. My deepest sympathy to all her family and friends.

Scarlet - Me too. I can't pass a Primark without remembering her fondness for the place.
Pat - For someone who thought of herself as a loner she's got no shortage of friends for sure.

I just saw a comment you left on The Hair Hall of Fame so I came over to snoop to see your blog.
Little did I realize you were one of KAZ's blogging friends!
KAZ was a big part of my blogging world and I'll miss her so very much.

MJ -Hi. Yeah, Kaz came to visit and comment all the time I was nursing Wayne through a terminal cancer.
How's that for irony?
She is going to be missed on hundreds of blogs I reckon.

Kaz was one of the first bloggers to comment on my newly minted masterpiece. Rarely a post went by when she didn't pop by for a virtual cuppa or a glass of white wine.
I was distraught when she admitted her circumstances. I do miss her so.

Roses - The comments following her last couple of posts say it all.
She is so missed.
