Last Saturday it was, I decided I'd had enough. Enough of the gloom and the rain that wanted to be slush, and the Cardiovascular Ward, and the worsening prognosis and the ongoing misery.
Enough already.
It's meant to be the Easter holidays..
So I've booked a holiday.
The Cherub and I fly out of Edinburgh International Airport first thing on Thursday.
We are going to warmer climes.
Climes with funny money and lots of foreign food
And if the locals don't understand, we'll just speak slowly till they do.
Yep. Two days in London coming up.

Have a great holiday!
Travel Tip: The Bobbies that patrol Pall Mall St are very lenient on enforcing public urination laws.

Just remember there's a major drought in London so you're not allowed to wash. And remember not to take your hosepipe as you won't be allowed to use it. And don't stay out too long in the scorching tropical heat.

LX- I will! I will! I will have a great holiday - though word on the street is that security is being tightened in time for the olympics. Might not push my luck on the old public urination...
Nick - A land of droughts??? Bring it on.

Have you warned the Sassenachs, though? At least take some black bun with you as a peace offering.
18 April 2012 at 07:58
Ms Veg - Black bun??? Are you serious??? With airport security as it is????
18 April 2012 at 17:13
Hilarious! And you're so right London is another country. My British friends used to tell me that I had experienced England just because I had lived in London for 15 years.
19 April 2012 at 10:24
Enjoy London on behalf of someone who hasn't been there for a very long time, but still dreams about the theaters and the bookshops. I really hope you can forget, or at least ignore, the doom and gloom for two days!
20 April 2012 at 13:59
Hope you both had fun! I wander round looking at bizarre things like Liberty and Fortnum & Mason, just because...
21 April 2012 at 09:22
Wish you a lovely time to come back with some great memories!!
22 April 2012 at 00:21
Oh its me with the typos - meant to say I had NOT experienced England just because I lived in London for 15 years....must be heat befudding my brain
22 April 2012 at 10:01
Ha, I thought you were off to NuZlund.
Any time away from home is great and a plane trip makes it even better
Enjoy
23 April 2012 at 21:06
You enjoy yourself.
Last chance before everything closes down for the Olympics.
